Sharon Wauchob brings an unpredictable, unconventional edge to the world of contemporary luxury. She develops a constantly evolving vision of femininity – an attribute which consistently draws a loyal and growing following. Her work is distinguished by a unique experimental use of materials and fabrics and consists of pieces that incorporate folds, drapes, pleats and exquisite detailing – characteristics of the elegance and sophistication defining the designer’s work.
Graduating with first class honours from Central Saint Martins’ School in 1993, her innovative looks and masterful execution quickly set her apart.
As in-house designer at Louis Vuitton between 1997 and 2001, her skills of inventiveness and experimentation were cultivated. Working in both ready-to-wear and accessories proved to be a fundamental experience. She went on to launch her eponymous line in 1999 in Paris and has since succeeded in becoming a highly acclaimed prêt-à-porter label. She has been showing on the official Paris Fashion Week calendar since 2003 and is one of the few British or Irish designers to have achieved such an accolade.
Sharon Wauchob deputed her menswear collection for Spring 2019, within her namesake line, mixing it purposefully with the fluidity in the women’s collection.
When working on ready-to-wear or accessories, luxury or mass market men’s or women’s her goal is to lead the trends in a response to modern needs and international lifestyle.
